Winter Sunshine

We have had a lot of gloomy days this winter so when we had a nice sunny day I had to go take some pictures. These were taken on Sunday 1/29 at my sister's house 

 There are two nice ponds and streams right around her house. I love how the light sparkles off the snow and water

The blue sky and sun shining across the ice on the pond is so pretty. I love the sparkle and the shadow

Some the sky and clouds reflected where the ice had melted a little 

The sky was so blue that it made some of the ice blue also 

A wide view of the yard with the sky, ice and color from the trees 

The reflections and light off the water is soooo pretty 

A few thin ice patches with the reflected sky 

Another wide view with reflections -- love the pine tree on the left also 

Love the light streak and all the shadows 

The frozen pond and snow on the side is so pretty

I noticed my shadow across the pond and had to get a picture :D 

A wide view of the pond and the trees around it -- so pretty on a sunny day 

leaves caught in the ice on the edge of the pond 

Love the way the light came through the clouds and reflected on the pond

And with some shadows on the ice -- even prettier to me 

Just a pretty scene 

And a close up of the tree in the yard 

And to end this post, my photo companion that day -- Pretzel -- he basically walked around the pond with me :D 

Love  his shadow on the ice ... 

And he enjoyed the sun as much as I did ...

Thanks as always for sharing my photos with me. I am ready for spring colors but you have to admit that the snow and the ice can be really pretty especially when the blue sky is out ...
