On Wednesday night it was a beautiful evening and I decided to spend some time in the Arboretum with my camera. Below are a few of my favorites that I took while I was walking around
I love willow trees and the light on this one was really nice. I also like the clouds behind it.
I always love getting pictures at the lily pond. I love how blue the pond is and also the reflections of the flower.
I really liked how round this leaf was -- different from what I normally see.
These were in the middle of the pond. I love it for the color and the simplicity..
This dragon fly was just hanging out on the bud so I had to get its picture
and it stayed there long enough for me to get this angle where you can really see its wings..
These light purple flowers were so pretty I had to capture them...
I found the colored spots on this leaf were interesting...
These flowers were on a high branch and I loved the blue sky behind them
Another flower against the blue sky. I just loved how this one was lit
These were in the shadows andI just loved the way they looked
I'm usually not a pink fan, but thought these roses were so pretty -- and I really love all the green around them
These were all about the color and shapes -- so fun
I loved the way the sun lit up the petals of the flower and the shape of the stems was very cool. I also like how the background is dark behind it all
I found the shapes in this one really fun and I love how dark the buds on the left are
This is about the leaves against the blue sky. It was just so pretty
A long view of the fountain and trees. I love the lines and the clouds
I know its just a cloud but I loved how puffy it was and the shadows underneath to give it depth
looking down the road. I love the lines of trees and leaves and how it makes a tunnel
The overpass on campus-- I really enjoyed the light and reflections in this scene
Last one -- I was drawn to this for the way it hit the railings and then to also see the reflection in the windows...
Thanks for sharing the photos with me. I really do love catching things in nature especially when it is beautiful out.
